Scott the Dot‘s postcards keep coming in! This time from Pamukkale in Turkey!
This week I visited Pamukkale in Turkey which has stunning white terraces and hot springs. The hot springs are filled with minerals that have formed the white terraces that look like cotton mounds. Pamukkale means “Cotton Castle” in Turkish and that’s exactly what it looks like!
Pamukkale is also home to the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was built by the Romans. The city is full of ruins, including temples, baths, and a theater, and it’s a great place for kids to explore and learn about history.
Next week – another Scott the Dot Anecdote!
